LaGrange County Company Plans Expansion

LAGRANGE, Ind. — LaGrange-based Spectrum Finishing, LLC intends to grow operations, upgrade facilities and add 10 workers as it expands distribution and logistics services.

The company is working in conjunction with the Town of LaGrange and the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation.

A tax abatement was requested by M&E Investments, LLC representing Spectrum Finishing and the LaGrange County Economic Development Corporation, and was approved unanimously by the Town of LaGrange.

The abatement is for a period of ten years and is for a 9,000 square foot building addition, valued at approximately $260,000. The expansion will allow the company greater flexibility with their distribution and logistics operations, which as been taxed with the growth of the furnity industry in LaGrange County and the region.

In addition to 10 new jobs being created, an additional 33 jobs will be retained, bringing its total employment to at least 43 employees.

“We are very excited to receive approval from the LaGrange Town Council for our abatement requests on the expansion of our operations. The market for heirloom quality, American made furniture is continually growing and that has necessitated the need for our upcoming expansion” said Ernie Wingard, a partner in M&E Investments, LLC. “We are eager to get this project underway and strengthen our continued partnership with the community.”
